Town residents are zoned for the Liberty High School zone of the Bedford County Public Schools division. Education is a deeply-rooted tradition in the Town of Bedford.

From the beginning of a child's academic career, there are numerous options for early childhood education. Local independent facilities are available to provide childcare and education in the first five years of a child's life.
From K-12, students in the Town of Bedford have the option of attending school at Bedford County's well-performing and fully accredited public schools.

A highlight of Bedford County Public Schools is the attention paid to the small, historic, community-oriented elementary schools that feed into the middle and high school. Class sizes are intentionally small, which gives teachers the opportunity to focus on student achievement.
